Nossa Música Produções e Edições Musicais is an independent music publishing company that started its activities in June, 2000. Founded by Marcos Jucá, President of ABER, one of the Brazilian Associations of Music Publishers, attorney, specialized in authoral law and an experienced music publisher, the enterprise grew considerably during the last seven years of its activities, occupying today the significant position as one of the most active independent music publishers of Brazil, with over 8,500 works under its management and control. An afiliated of SOCINPRO (Brazilian Society for the Administration and Protection of Intelectual Rights), Nossa Música administers twenty five local and fifteen international catalogues, and it has a cast of over thirty exclusive songwriters.
Their songs have been licensed for soap-operas, TV ads and feature films in Brazil and abroad, and performed by some of the most important brazilian artists, such as: Marisa Monte, Maria Bethânia, Gal Costa, Ana Carolina, Alceu Valença, Los Hermanos, Marcelo D2, Francis Hime, Roberto Carlos, Paulinho da Viola, Maria Rita, Chico Buarque, Bruno & Marrone, and many others.
Companies like Bradesco Insurance, Leader Magazine, Brahma, Malhas Malwee, LeRoy Merlin and Sundown Motos have synchronized our songs in their advertising campaigns. Some of the most popular brazilian films featured our songs, such as: “Dois Filhos de Francisco”, “Amores Possíveis”, “Tainá”, “Zuzu Angel”, “Copacabana”, “Se eu fosse Você”, O Tempo não Pára” e “Meu Tempo é Hoje”. Furthermore, dozens of soap operas and television sitcoms booked and synchronized our songs.
Among our main songwriters stands out Marcelo D2, Marcelo Camelo, Rodrigo Amarante, Paulinho da Viola, Alceu Valença, Francis Hime, Carlos Colla, David Corcos, Mario Caldato, Meg, Ras André, Tavinho Paes, Ronald Monteiro, Rafael Dias, Beto Correa, Aleh, Mú Chebabi, Rogê, Zeppa, Rodrigo Rodrigues and Julio Borges.
The Company also manages a Gospel catalogue (Nossa Fé) and a Phonographic label (Nossa Música Phonográfica) that has several releases in its catalogue. In partnership with its songwriters, reatains copyrights over several masters, and has an active participation in many independent projects, helping make possible a digital launching and distribution of new songwriters/artists’s masters.
